10! It's a rivalry game. It might be one of the most exciting series in the playoffs.

EdV is right. Why all the interest in a Lakers-Suns match up? If you're a fan of one team or the other, and your team gets to the finals without meeting the other, you're not going to say your conference championship is tainted.

Only Laker haters care about this.

On a 1-10 scale, I say a 2.
If you are a fan of either team, it doesn't matter really who you face in the playoffs - you would be happy if they just won. Like, even if you are a big Kobe and Lakers fan, does it really matter if your team plays the Suns? All that matters is you BEAT THE OTHER TEAM whoever it is, unless you are really getting personal with Shaq and the Suns.

So I would suppose for most Suns and Lakers fans, the disappointment would be just around 5-6 at most, as long as their team wins.

But if you are just a fan of basketball in general (like me), you do WANT to see the Suns meet the Lakers. Kobe trying to show he could lead his team to victory over the Suns, especially the Suns with Shaq. It will be classic.

So if it doesn't happen, and we see other playoff matchups without a Suns-Lakers series, it's around 7-8.
I would be disappointed, but I'm not really sure how effective shaq will be by then. i'm sure he's always motivated to stick it to kupchack and buss. i'd say a 6.

It'll only be dissapointing for Suns fans because if they meet this year, The Lakers will win unlike last year and the year before that.

But don't worry, they won't meet in the first round of the playoffs because both teams will finish in the top 4.
