Let the debates begin!
Man for man who has a better line-up 08 LA Lakers or the 96-98 Chicago Bulls?basketball tickets
Let see who we got for Chicago at that time:
Randy Brown
Jud Buechler
Jason Caffey
Ron Harper
Michael Jordan
Steve Kerr
Toni Kukoc
Luc Longley
Scottie Pippen
Dennis Rodman
Dickey Simpkins
Matt Steigenga
Bill Wennington
Compared to the Lakers roster of today:
Kobe Bryant
Derek Fisher
Pau Gasol
Lamar Odom
Vladimir Radmanovic
Shasha Vujacic
Jordan Farmar
Luke Walton
Ronnie Turiaf
Trevor Ariza
DJ Mbenga
Ira Newble
Andrew Bynum
Chris Mihm
Looking at both rosters you can simply conclude that the Lakers team of today is a lot more athletic and talented then the Bulls roster of the second half of the 90's. While Michael Jordan and Kobe might cancel each other out the succeding players is not of equal talent with the one opposed to them.
Chicago has a number of sub-par players who rode Jordan and Pippen's glory, players like: Randy Brown, Luc Longley, Bill Wennington and a certain Matt Steigenga (who I doubt ever played a single game in the league) would absolutely be overmatched when pitted against the likes of Shasha Vujacic, Jordan Farmar, Luke Walton, Ronnie Turiaf, Trevor Ariza, DJ Mbenga, Ira Newble, Andrew Bynum and Chris Mihm.
Overall this Lakers team is much superior than the Bulls team.
Hope this helps.
Man for man who has a better line-up 08 LA Lakers or the 96-98 Chicago Bulls?nba warriors ,nba teams
C - Longley Vs Gasol (Gasol has the edge)
PF - Rodman vs Odom (Odom)
SF - Pippen vs Radmanovic (Pippen)
BG - Jordan vs Bryant (Jordan of course, unless you're a die-hard Kobe fan, you'd say Kobe)
PG - Harper vs Fisher (Harper)
Bench : Lakers has the edge...
Who wins: Fantasy-wise, both teams are almost identical...however, you never question the heart of Jordan... when the chips are down, that's when he takes away all the advantages the other team has. that's the intangible that the bulls have...they have Superman!!!
I'm not gonna call you an idiot because you're just trying to get us to debate however Bulls are way better than the Lakers no comparison.
Longley %26lt; Gasol = Easy
Rodman %26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; Radmanovic = You kidding me? Rodman Rebounding champion and the best physcological opponent there is.
Pippen %26gt;%26gt; Odom = Unless he can prove it otherwise
Jordan %26gt; Bryant = Kobe can prove us wrong..
Harper %26lt; Fisher= Awesome veteran.
The bench they have got Kukoc,Kerr i mean come on!
i'm still for the 96-98 Bulls!
3 straight titles speak for itself...
Matchups:
C- Longley vs Gasol
- Gasol with the edge on this one
PF- Rodman vs Odom
- Odom may be a skillful offensive player, but Rodman is smarter, more agressive, an expert at board-crashing, and is a defensive killer; Rodman with the edge
SF- Pippen vs Radmanovic
- need i say more? PIPPEN with the clear, lopsided edge
SG- Jordan vs Kobe
- now we draw the line on this one... they will be evenly matched, but come crunchtime, i still rely on Jordan to hit it or to make a nice pick for a teammate to hit it... he's done it a couple of times, most of them, series-clinching and championship-winning; JORDAN with the slight edge on this one
PG- Harper vs Fisher
- Fisher has the clutch shot, Harper only has the height. :P Fisher with the advantage
BENCH:
Bulls bench with the edge; Kukoc, Kerr, Buechler, Wennington, etc. can step up big time...
COACH:
Phil Jackson of Bulls vs Phil Jackson of Lakers
- Jackson of Lakers looks like KFC :P
bulls, easiest question ever......Jordan Pippen Rodman owns Kobe Odom and Gasol... Steve Kerr and Ron harper edge out fisher, and bynum is the only advantage
Pull your head from out of your ****! There is no Comparison. The Bulls would put Kobe and these Kiddie Lakers back into diapers.
You're a friggin idiot if you think you can even compare the 96-98 Bulls with the 2008 Lakers!!
The bulls
no offense but you are an idiot if you compare them to those legendary teams
Bulls had way more experience duhhhh!!!
